After the Islamic Revolution of 1979, revolutionary mural paintings proliferated across Tehran. Now comparable with the mexican revolutionary mural movement of the 1920s and 1930s, the murals institutionalize the ideas and ideals of the iranian revolution, and are present in everyday life, such as close to his informal flower seller operating in Northern Tehran.<br />
